School projects and assignments can help you learn the concepts, but working on something with real world impact is a very different and rewarding experience.
So how will StuDev be different from that? Here are some of the highlights:
- You will get paid!
Skills like software development and marketing are always very much in demand. This is valuable cash that you can put towards daily living expenses or even student loans.
- Real world experience is a big plus on the resume!
Whether it’s a full-time job or a dream summer internship, real world experience shows that you know how to put your skills to use in a professional setting.
Doing well in the workplace is not always just about being knowledgeable. It’s about learning how to communicate with others, time management, to name a few.
- We adjust to your schedule
Things happen, we get it. We operate year-round and welcome students from all parts of the globe, so trying to impose a great deal of uniformity logistically just doesn’t make much sense for us or for you.
When it comes to things like your personal well-being or school, you shouldn’t have to choose between those and StuDev. When in doubt, the former takes priority.
All we ask is that you let us know as early as possible so we can plan accordingly.
For more information, please review our expectations page.
- We invest in you
It’s not just about the resume bump you’ll get from the experience of doing real world work with actual customers. We look at your long-term trajectory as well. When we assemble teams and assign members to customers, we also think about:
How does this customer help you develop and grow your skill set?
We want to make sure that the work you do with us is engaging and fulfilling, in ways beyond just the pecuniary benefits, as it’s those ways that will count when you enter your professional career post-graduation.
Because of this focus, you have a lot more freedom to dictate the type of work you want to do with us and the customers you would like to engage. All you have to do is ask.
It also means that we are happy to provide assistance and direction in learning new skills that you can then put to good use with customers. Again, all you have to do is ask.
